The @ceartateanga Twitter account is managed by the Communications Manager of Oifig an Choimisinéara Teanga. Tweets will be used to communicate news and information about the work of the Office, including the Annual Report, Statements by the Coimisinéir Teanga, services that are available in Irish and other matters of interest to the public.
Normally our Twitter account will be updated and monitored during office hours, Monday to Friday.
We welcome and will read all @ messages. Due to the fact that the account is only being monitored by one person, we will not be in a position to reply to all messages.
@ceartateanga will not be obliged to follow any of our followers.
If we do follow a Twitter account, it does not imply endorsement of any kind. If we do retweet material from other Twitter accounts, it does not imply endorsement of any kind. The aim of following other accounts and retweeting material will be to reach as wide an audience as possible and to spread awareness of the work and functions of this Office.
Sending a direct message to the Office via Twitter will be considered as contacting the Office for official purposes, however if you wish to make a complaint using Twitter, we will still require confirmation of this either by direct message or through the primary means of contacting the Office, which remain by phone 091504006, by email eolas@coimisineir.ie or via the online complaints form http://bit.ly/1LWSOvT
It is not customary for Oifig an Choimisinéara to comment on any individual case and this will continue to be the case.
